Kingairloch Covid-19 Statement 2021

30th March Update
The Scottish government has announced a plan to ease restrictions significantly in Scotland from the 26th April for the hospitality sector but we are waiting for the Strategic Framework document to be updated to give details on exactly what is allowable when, and hope to have further information in the next update due from the government on the 6th April.
Mixed households won’t be allowed to stay together before the 17th May (and that rule may stay in place for a considerable period beyond that).
We also don’t know when the travel restriction on the border will be lifted, although the government have indicated they will remove that restriction on the 26th April if possible.

New Bookings for 2021 and 2022
For bookings in 2021 and 2022, a deposit of 50% of the rental fee is requested to secure the booking with the remaining balance due 28 days prior to your stay.  Please note that in our larger properties, only two households are able to stay together and up to six people (children under 12 are exempt).

Cancellation Policy
In addition to our terms and conditions, we have new rules in place owing to the government policies around travel in the UK at present.  If you are unable to travel to Kingairloch due to a local government lockdown (in your area, or in we are in a restricted state), we would offer you a transfer of dates in the first instance and, if that wasn’t agreeable, we will refund you in full.

Cleaning Protocols
Our cleaning for each property will be maintained to a high standard in line with the ASSC protocols, sanitized and disinfected. After a thorough clean of the property, fogging with an electro-static hydrogen chloride and silver mist will take place to eliminate the virus to the very best of our ability.  Entry to the cottage is not allowed for 30 mins after fogging, and tape will be placed across the door with the time the fogging took place.
In the cottages we will be removing soft furnishings such as cushions and rugs, and all jigsaws and games will be taken away. We will also be removing all non-essential booklets and pamphlets, so please research places to visit before getting to Kingairloch. The beds will be made up with linen and towels washed at the commercial laundry in Fort William who use disinfectants in their wash cycles. Pillows will have protectors on them as will the duvets and mattresses. Every changeover the protectors will also be changed. Should you wish to bring your own linen, please let us know and we will leave the beds unmade.

If you feel safe to drive. please make your way home leaving the property open with the keys inside.  If you do not feel well enough to travel we may be able to provide quarantine accommodation
