URGENT CHANGES TO BOOKINGS
General Estate Covid-19 Statement
The world we live in now is a much different place to that of only a few months ago.
Guests have now been back at Kingairloch from the middle of July, it has been wonderful having visitors back. Our cleaning for each property will be maintained to a high standard in line with the ASSC protocols, sanitized and disinfected. After a thorough clean of the property, fogging with an electro-static mist of hydrogen chloride and silver will take place to eliminate the virus to the very best of our ability. Entry to the cottage is not allowed for 30 mins after fogging, and tape will be placed across the door with the time the fogging took place.
Do not travel to Kingairloch if you or members in your booking have symptoms of Covid-19 (high temperature, continuous cough, loss of taste or smell).
In the cottages we have removed soft furnishings such as cushions and rugs, and all jigsaws and games will be taken away. We will also be removing all non-essential booklets and pamphlets, so please research places to visit before getting to Kingairloch. The beds will be made up with linen and towels washed at the commercial laundry in Fort William who use disinfectants in their wash cycles. Pillows will have protectors on them as will the duvets and mattresses. Every changeover the protectors will also be changed. Should you wish to bring your own linen, please let us know and we will leave the beds unmade.
Should you or a family member develop symptoms during your stay, please inform us immediately by telephone. If you feel safe to drive. please make your way home leaving the property open with the keys inside. If you do not feel well enough to travel we may be able to provide quarantine accommodation (depending on number of people in the booking) which WILL NOT be the holiday cottage you are staying in and will incur an additional charge of £100/night. In an emergency only call 911/999.
We are now accepting bookings in all of our properties. Dates will be confirmed with a 50% deposit being paid, the remaining balance will then be due 28 days prior to your arrival.
Should you wish to cancel an existing booking, we will be happy to move a deposit to new dates or provide a refund, so long as the holiday dates are more than 28 days away. If you wish to cancel within four weeks of your holiday, we can move your booking to new dates, however we will not be able to offer you a refund.
We are now accepting bed and breakfast bookings into Kingairloch House, only one room will be available for holidaymakers.
Should Government advice change, we will update our statement accordingly.
We hope this statement conveys the great deal of thought we have put into keeping you and our members of staff safe, during a holiday at Kingairloch. By all working together we will be able to keep the cogs working and allow the estate to become a haven once again.
