Elastic Cottage is a fabulous single storey stone cottage that sits within the hamlet of Camasnacroise, a picturesque bay that opens out onto Loch Linnhe. Simply one of the finest locations in the West Highlands!
The cottage sleeps up to four in a double and twin bedroom, both of which look out to Loch Linnhe. The living, dining and kitchen area is open plan with the wood burning stove being a great feature in the room. There is a shared family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower unit. Further to this, a fantastic wooden deck sits prominently in the enclosed garden – the perfect place to watch the sun rise and set over the Appin Hills and Castle Stalker.
As for the unusual name of this cottage, in years gone by when the McDougal family lived in this cottage during times of celebration and a gathering of friends took place under the roof, Mr McDougal would bring out his accordion and it felt like the rooms stretched like elastic!!
Up to three dogs welcome, charged at £24/pet. A stone wall surrounds the garden with railings and wire on top of the wall.
Spotting red deer at Kingairloch is always high on the list for our visitors. However, this video is a real delight as it shows them swimming in the river in front of The Old School and Elastic Cottage.
